I knew that it crucial to get the typography correct especially since the typography was going to be one of the main aspects of my image. Therefore, I decided to use an easily readable font called “ARCO Typography”. I felt that it was important to add the Craquelure texture to the background of my image. The Craquelure helps reinforce the fact that my image theme “Simple Pleasure” is apparent as the slightly rough texture gives the image some more detail however it also doesn’t change the image very much. I envisaged “Simple Pleasure” being a nice and colourful image instead of a darker/more lifeless image. This led me to not distract anyone’s attention by putting any assets near or on the Umbrellas since the umbrellas and the key focus of the image that really highlight my chosen theme as they’re colourful. “All of colours are friends” is a perfect description of all the colours I have used since all the colours are analogous with one another which allows for a simple yet pleasurable image to look at. “Lovers of their opposites” also describes my image quite accurately since some colours completely stand out to one another. I felt that it was needed for my image to “bleed” to the edges of the page. I felt that this was the right decision to make since adding borders would get in the way of the focus of the image and allowing the image to bleed can give off the impression that there is more to this image.
